IDA Changing the Igbere Narrative
Science Building Restoration
On March 28 2020, Igbere Development Association (IDA) started renovating the dilapidated Igbere Secondary School Science Building. The first phase of the project which was completed with the roofing of the building ended on May 20, 2020.
Igbere Water Restoration
In 2018 in Igbere, Abia State, Nigeria, few members of IDA lead by the President Chief Esse Esse in the company of prominent Igbere indigenes Chief Ukonu Ukonu, Ezeogo Olakurome Emeka and IWU President, Elder Chief Uwakwe Okoronkwo commissioned to Igbere water scheme.
Restoration of Igbere Secondary School Main building
Within three months of its establishment, the Igbere Development Association, Inc. (IDA) undertook the rehabilitation, renovation and restoration of the Main Building of Igbere Secondary School, Igbere.
IDA views the current dilapidated physical infrastructure of Igbere Secondary School as unacceptable, and with dismay. As a result, IDA decided to embark on the project of rehabilitating the Main Building block of the school, in order to give Igbere students an opportunity to learn in a conducive classroom environment.
On June 4, 2017, IDA selected the contractor Engr. Onyeudo P. Ukoha of Moore Builders, after considering three contractors who responded to the ‘Request for Quotation’ on the project.
